4 to 4.5 stars for the fall omakase. The current menu (which just came out) has strong dishes like salmon with shiso & puffed quinoa and short rib yake. However, there were a few weaker courses (dashi & hamachi). The final "dessert" course was a tasty shrimp tempura hand roll that left you feeling full and satiated. I would love to return to sample the rolls which looked appetizing & tempting! Service was quick and super efficient. Strict adherence to the allotted time.

Amazing! We had such a lovely dinner here. The cozy interior with pop music had us nodding her heads while enjoying the Chef's Omakase 10-course meal. Pricing is extremely reasonable for $99 per person. Some memorable parts of our meal included the amuse bouche with fish in a watermelon puree, nigiri pieces including fluke, chutoro, and salmon, fried short rib ball, and hand roll. For dessert, we shared the Coconut Ube Cake which was divine. Coconut foam plus ube served with Japanese pumpkin, and almonds. Perfect combination of sweetness combined with the crispy almonds for a texture contrast. Service was exceptional as well.

Omakase at Kai Zan. Food Quality never fails here. Rice is made perfectly the way sushi rice should be made. The size and freshness of the sushi is the exactly what it should be. Service is great and place is quaint.

Our party of 4 was seated in a separate little room which had its own privacy that I really liked. My friend was raving about their Polenta Bites & Spicy Toro Maki, so I was super excited to try those on top of their Fiesta Roll. All of these were amazing!! I love the crispy kale that they use here, it adds for a really flavorful crunch which was a nice surprise. The Fiesta Roll was different as I'm not used to lime on a roll, but it definitely works! The Spicy Toro Maki was really good too, I'm not a huge fan of tuna as I highly prefer salmon but here, I found myself to gravitate towards their tuna the most. I would definitely recommend ordering any of the 3 I tried as they were all yummy choices!
